The Great Barrington Land Conservancy and
the Great Barrington Historical Society have jointly published an illustrated 24-page
historical booklet. River Walk: History Underfoot was researched and written by Bernard A.
Drew, a River Walk volunteer and past president of the Historical Society. It traces the
growth of this small village neighborhood, from Native American and early colonial and
industrial times through residential, commercial, educational, and religious use.
In addition, a free 48-page River Walk Guide will be sent upon request.
